Genfarma and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) Advance Collaboration Orientation in the Biopharmaceutical Sector
PhD. Le Quynh Lien – Head of the Department of Training and International Cooperation, VAST, expressed confidence in the collaboration potential between both parties in researching and developing high-quality biopharmaceutical products for patients and the community in Vietnam.

The delegation included senior leaders and leading experts from the Department of Training and International Cooperation, Institute of Biology, Institute of Chemistry, and Institute of Materials Science. Together with Genfarma, both parties engaged in open and constructive discussions to explore professional and technical capabilities, as well as potential collaboration opportunities in biopharmaceutical research, product development, and scientific and technological training.

The meeting reflected the shared orientation of both parties in promoting innovation and strengthening the connection between scientific research and Vietnam’s biopharmaceutical industry. Both sides discussed collaboration potential in researching, developing, and implementing innovative biopharmaceutical projects, particularly in the areas of biologics, monoclonal antibodies, and advanced therapeutic solutions for diseases that pose significant burdens on the healthcare system and society.
 
Representatives from VAST highly appreciated Genfarma’s strategic development orientation, as well as its ambition to become one of the pioneering organizations in Northern Vietnam capable of meeting GMP standards for high-tech biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
In addition to research and technical collaboration, both parties also discussed opportunities to promote academic exchange and develop high-quality human resources through postgraduate training programs, scientific research supervision, and the organization of specialized seminars related to biopharmaceuticals and the innovation ecosystem.
In the coming period, Genfarma and VAST will continue in-depth technical discussions, evaluate research and quality-control capabilities, and maintain regular engagement to further advance concrete collaboration opportunities.
The meeting marked an important milestone in strengthening cooperation between academia and industry, aiming to develop advanced healthcare solutions for patients and the community in Vietnam.
